‍ ‍The beauty of art is unlike other creative platforms like drama , music, or dance. It can be created almost out of anything instead of one modality used for expression. With the diversity in materials and how they are used, the possibilities are endless. In my teaching, I enjoy presenting projects in imaginative and unconventional ways that spark curiosity and inspire exploration. By introducing a wide variety of materials and demonstrating how they can be manipulated, layered, and assembled, students learn that art has no fixed boundaries. This process not only nurtures creativity but also strengthens fine motor skills, problem-solving, and dexterity.

Unconventional materials opens the door to endless possibilities—art that can move, spin, fold, open, or interact with the viewer rather than simply hang on a wall. Using household objects, recyclables, and natural materials allows students to think beyond traditional art-making and discover how form, function, and imagination can work together to create something truly original.
